On September 24, 2014, Prof. Possover founded NeuroGyn AG (NeuroGyn) as the sole shareholder. Its legal seat is in Zug, Switzerland.

NeuroGyn is a Swiss-based Medtech Company developing and marketing innovative solutions in the field of neurotechnology for international medical markets. NeuroGyn’s mission is to assist physicians in improving the quality of life for millions of patients with dysfunctions of the pelvic nerve system by providing stimulation systems and relevant accessories.

Atypical for a startup, the initial work involved a combination of scientific/clinical research and the development of a patent portfolio on both surgical techniques of implantation (GNS  and LION procedures) and corresponding indications, including significant market issues such as overactive bladder (OAB), osteoporosis and erectile dysfunction.

The NeuroGyn pacemaker was developed in response to the needs of gynecologists and neuropelveologists for pelvic neuromodulation. The unique target area and patients’ needs present challenges for the implant, and even the advanced Western healthcare system cannot currently provide adequate solutions available on the market. A dedicated Pelvic Neurostimulator designed for this unique target area and population will be a groundbreaking solution, transforming the pelvic neuromodulation market.
