As part of the 9, Swiss Innovation Forum, the most innovative inventions in welding were awarded the Swiss Technology Award 2014 for the 26th time in the Congress Center Basel on 21.11.2014. The leading technology award honours the best innovations and developments from Swiss companies, universities and colleges, universities and many other institutions. In a two-stage process, a 15-member jury selected one winner each in the categories "Inventors", "Start-up" and "Sustainability Leader". The winners in three categories beat around 100 competitors. The award ceremony was attended by 1000 decision-makers from business, science, education and politics.
